How Do I Contact a Live Person?

From the main Global Tutors website,, click on the "contact" tab at the top of the homepage. You can also call us at our toll free number, 1-888-90-GETGT, to speak with one of our associates. After clicking contact, you will see all the contact information for Global Tutors, including our toll free number. You can also click on the "contact form" link, fill it out, and someone will get back to you within 24 hours. If you are already a registered user, this will provide links for homework help, rescheduling classes, as well as accounting and administration for any assistance help.

How Do I Register?

The parent goes to our website,, and clicks "Get Started Now." Click here on the homepage. Then the parent/child can click on what subjects are of interest, complete the registration forms, and submit. Here you will be brought to the screen where payment options will be presented. The parent can select a payment option, number of sessions, payment method, etc. The parent will then receive a confirmation e-mail.

What is the Cost of the Sessions?

We recommend at least two sessions a week per subject. If the program director feels that extra hours are needed, then the parents will be informed accordingly to opt for additional sessions. At any given point, parents can always call and speak to the program director or send an e-mail regarding the child's progress.
Each tutoring session is one hour. There are basically two ways of paying for your sessions. The first is an hourly rate of $25.00 per session. The second payment method is a monthly plan, at a discounted rate, of $240.00/month, which includes 12 one-hour sessions per month. We highly recommend the second payment plan.

How Do I Pay for the Sessions?

Payments are due the first of every month. If you start in the middle of the month, the payment will be prorated to reflect the number of sessions for that month only. That prorated amount is added to the full monthly amount for the following month, and that is the first payment which you will make upon starting with Global Tutors. Then you will pay your regular monthly amount on the first of the month after that. For example, if you start in the middle of February, your first payment will be for half of February, and the total amount for March. This is the first payment that is made. Then on April 1st, the payment will be your regular monthly amount. Your payment will be processed with credit card information (with a signed ADHC form) and payment will automatically be debited from your credit card or checking account; and a reminder will be sent that payment has been made. Tutoring sessions will be activated once the first payment is made.

What are the levels of Tutoring Available?

Global Tutors currently offers live one-on-one tutoring from grades 1 through 12. Global Tutors also offers university level math, software programming subjects and international languages. Live homework help and help for test preparation is provided. Through the offerings of the Online Supplementary Education, GLOBAL TUTORS offers high quality tutoring and coaching to students of grades 1 through 12 in the subjects Math, the Sciences and languages allowing them to excel in school and in exams. Each student gets personalized learning and individual interaction with a coach. Initially, an assessment test is given to identify the student's strengths and needs. The coaching is personalized and live using audio and a shared whiteboard. Additionally, each student is assigned a mentor who is responsible for the student's learning needs. The delivery is seamless and effectively uses technology that is readily available and easy to set up. Use of technology also obviates any need for the student to travel to coaching centers and hence, keeps him fresh and alert to new learning input and experiences. The pace and content of tutoring are decided through a pre-requisite evaluation process and cemented through a learning contract. Evaluation is continuous and rigorous and constantly reviewed against the grade standards and the student's own learning contract. Strong feedback and quality mechanisms ensure that the student achieves this.

Setting Goals for Your Child

Global Tutors will first take a free assessment test to determine the strengths and weaknesses of a child. Based on the test results, the program director will prepare a personalized curriculum to strengthen the areas that need improvement. We encourage your permission for us to contact the students' teachers so we can follow the same curriculum and schedule that your child follows at school but we are prepared to use our own curriculum which is nationally approved, accepted and measures up to all academic standards. Our program director will monitor each student's progress on a daily basis and follow it up with the parents and the tutor and ensure that the child reaches the expected goal.

Does Tutoring Benefit the Children?

Certainly, since the tutor interacts individually with your child giving all the attention that he/she needs. If a child falls behind, the program director will address the issue with the parents and take appropriate measures to fill in the gap. The parent is always free to bring up any issue they may have with the tutor or with the company in general. The tutor tries to build up a rapport with the student and tries to help the student reach his/her academic goals.

What is an Assessment?

The Assessment is a 'test' to assess your child's ability across the key topics set out at Global Tutors. We have presented the Assessment in an exam style so we can understand his/her ability topic by topic. The output gives you a guide to your child's actual ability and determines the initial lesson plan for the student. Please do not help or let others help your child with the Assessment. A false result will generate an unrealistic lesson plan, and disqualify you from our Money Back Guarantee.

Why is an Assessment necessary?

The Assessment allows GLOBAL Tutors to create a unique lesson plan which will cater to the needs of the individual student, a plan that will build confidence in their weaker topics and fortify their stronger ones. In order to cater to the highly gifted students, a higher level assessment test is automatically provided if the student scores more than 80%.

When Do I get the Results of the Assessment Test?

The student can take the assessment tests any time after he/she registers and receives log in information. Results of the assessment test become available once the student has enrolled and submits the test for evaluation by the Academic Director.

What is the Parents Forum?

This is a portal created just for the parents where by using their very own log in information provided by us they are able to track the progress of the student and view every session. This Parent Forum also enables the parent to make comments and or suggestion regarding curriculum or special requests by clicking on the appropriate link to contact tutor. They can always send an email to the Program Director with any concerns or issues they want addressed.

How secure is information about my child?

Tutors who join Global Tutors are highly qualified. They make sure that each child grows and succeeds in their respective fields. The majority of our tutors possess at least a Masters degree in their respective subjects. The selection process is very rigorous and only those who fully measure up to the stringent standards set by Global Tutors are called upon to shoulder the responsibilities of online tutoring. We have a team of some of the best teaching experts in the relevant subject areas. All of our tutors are very well qualified, possessing Master's degrees or higher. What if I'm not satisfied with the Tutoring Sessions?

At Global Tutors, we strive to give your child a rewarding and enriching experience in learning. Every session is recorded and we have a panel dedicated to Quality Assurance who on an ongoing basis listens to every session to ensure that we continue adhering to the highest level of quality in the delivery of our service and that we maintain every tutor updated with on going training. We recommend that the student have a short demonstration before starting the sessions to help ensure that he/she will understand how to use the software. If the student or parent is not happy with the tutoring sessions, for any reason, we will do our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible. If the student or tutor misses a session for any reason, we will immediately schedule a make-up session.

How do I reschedule and/or cancel my scheduled session?

If you are unable to make a scheduled session we require that you notify us 24 hours in advance unless it is an emergency. You can send an email directly to the Program Director or click on the link for rescheduling and follow the simple instructions. If a session is cancelled with 24 hours notice it will be made up at your earliest convenient time without question. Simply indicate on your email your time of preference or contact the Program Director at your earliest convenience so that the session can be scheduled preferably during the same billing month cycle.

Is there a refund policy?

If the student takes one or two tutoring sessions and is dissatisfied with it for any reason, we will first try to place the student with another tutor. If that doesn't solve the issue, we will process a refund of the amount paid by you. Please keep in mind, however, that we would like to do everything possible to make your tutoring experience with Global Tutors a positive one and hope that you will give us the opportunity to try and solve the issue as quickly as possible. However, after a week, we cannot offer a refund at that time. We will ask that you finish out your tutoring sessions for the month at that point and we will do everything we can to make your experience with us a productive one.

Can my child get on an Accelerated Program?

If your child achieves a consistently high level, then the tutor will discuss with the program director and tailor the curriculum for your child appropriately.
